The purpose of a double-ring snaffle bit is to provide additional control and communication between the rider and the horse. The double rings allow for different rein placements, which can affect the severity of the bit's action. This bit is often used for horses that require more precise cues and for riders who need more control, such as in disciplines like dressage or show jumping. The design of the double-ring snaffle bit allows for versatility in communication with the horse, making it a popular choice for riders looking for a bit with adjustable action. **
